Anaani John, a first class graduate of the Department of Mass Communication at, Kwara State University, also Founder of Anaani Multi-Script Concept (AMSC), has distributed over 20 copies of a book titled “Battle for the Young” by Gbile Akanni to students in Jos, Plateau State.
The books were distributed at a seminar organized by AMSC for secondary school students from Basic 9 (J.S.S.3) to senior secondary classes 1-3 at the Glorious Kingdom High School, Zarmangada, Jos.
The seminar, tagged “Their Heart is Divided” was organized to educate youths on the need to be focused and to stay away from attractive distraction from the opposite sex, social media malady and the ever increasing passion for fashion.
In statement dissemination via an electronic message system, John decried the rate at which young people who are full of potentials and great talents lose focus and end up constituting nuisance to the society.
Making reference to Shakespeare, he also challenged the students that every one of them has potential for greatness in them, adding “You might be from a poor background; you may not have all the comfort now. You might even find it difficult to buy note books, but one thing is sure, there is an undiscovered input of greatness in you.
“It is however, painful that many young people mar their greatness as a result of shared focus and placement of wrong priorities. I must tell you, think well, you are the product of your decision yesterday. Don’t be carried away by youthful tendencies, if you missed it, you can’t be sweet sixteen again” he said.
He further advised the students to develop the vision of an eagle and to pursue their aspirations. He concluded that he chose Gbile’s Battle for the Young because the less than 70-page literature text has the capacity to shape their lives and put them on the path of greatness.
