A former Military Head of State, General Ibrahim Babaginda (rtd) has said that the prevailing crisis rocking the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) could pave way for a massive victory for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2019 General Elections.
Babaginda stated this in Minna when the candidate of the PDP for the Niger East Senatorial District Election, Mallam Ibrahim Ishaku paid him a courtesy call at his Hill Top Mansion.
According to the former military ruler, the APC as a political party appears to have entangled itself in wobbling traps as if it was under a curse.
He noted that all what the opposition needed to do was to step up more efforts by working on the electorates to have a landslide victory in the forthcoming elections.
He claimed that the Senatorial Election in Niger East would be a walkover for the PDP owing to the crisis that had embroiled the ruling party.
“The APC at all levels is still embroiled in depilating crisis that are threatening to completely bring down the party and in next year ‘s general elections, all that is required by PDP is to step up efforts with frequent prayers,” said the former Nigerian leader.
